Nighttime sleep!!

Any tips on how to get my newborn to sleep longer through the night or to atleast help him to fall back to sleep after a feed. He currently goes to sleep at 9pm, wakes up for a bottle around 1:30/2am then goes back down till 5:30am, it can take me over an hour to get him to sleep though after his 1:30am feed! Xx

Sounds pretty normal to me. Sleep is developmental so I do think often with the best will in the world, they will just do what they want to do. My 15 month old can still have nights like that.

My LO was the same, I think it’s just a matter of waiting it out. I would suggest swaddling, using a white noise machine, and maybe singing or humming to them to help settle down. I’ve also been stricter with bath-bottle-bed routine and it seems to help. He’s 10 weeks corrected now and starting to sleep 5-6h in a row 😊 hope that helps, but if you’re already doing all of these, it’ll just be a matter of time 💪🏻
