Miscarriage?

6.5 weeks pregnant. Had an early scan at 6 weeks and it was confirmed that baby is in the right place. However last two days have been having sharp pains in my shoulder. Today small amount of thick discharge which was tinged brown. Am I miscarrying/going to miscarry?

They say pain on one side is ectopic so it’s weird that scan was fine. I guess just wait and see

When I started getting brown discharge 12 hours later bleeding began and I eventually miscarried, would definitely call GP or early pregnancy unit especially due to the shoulder pain

@Amy this is what I’m finding so confusing….I read about ectopic but scan says fine. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Caitlín I’ll definitely call tomorrow. I’ve felt unwell the last few days but can’t describe it, tired and a bit meh.

I had brown discharge in my first pregnancy and in less than 24 hours it turned to red blood and I started miscarrying HOWEVER I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and I’ve had on and off brown discharge from 6-8 weeks. I’ve had 2 scans and everything was good. It can be old blood or implantation bleeding. If you had an internal scan then the bleeding could also be down to that! I think it’s a good idea to get seen just in case but I just wanted to let you know that it doesn’t necessarily mean miscarriage as brown discharge is very normal in early pregnancy. If the scan confirmed the pregnancy was in the place then I doubt it’s an ectopic. The tired and ‘meh’ feeling you’re having is probably just the 1st trimester. I feel like that constantly 🙈😂

I'm on my third pregnancy and this time I've had quite a bit of brown discharge and cramping but so far so good. I went for a scan 6+1 and all was OK and same again 7+4. Give it a couple days and I'd go to EPU to get checked x sending positive vibes xx

Went to EPU today following a Doctors appointment. Everything looks okay. They don’t know why I’m getting shoulder pains 🤷🏽‍♀️ and said brown discharge is common.
