In uterus cmv

Hi everyone. I desperately need advice/ information from other mothers who may have gone through this. I am 26 weeks pregnant and found out that I am positive for CMV. The baby got it and now the infection is attacking her brain. She may not make it or if she does she could be born with an array of multiple conditions or disorders. Has any other mother gone through this? If so how did you cope because ever since I found out I am completely devastated and have no idea what to do.

I am so sorry. I had not heard of CMV and I just looked it up, and it sounds very serious. What region are you in? There is probably a support system for parents of newborns with highly complex illnesses, depending on where you live...? And I'm happy to help you look. And maybe reach out to your local Ronald McDonald's house? I think they would be really plugged into helpful services

Yes through ultra sound. They saw that her cerebellum is smaller than normal and also that around both her ventricals there were bright spots which shows that there is an infection in her brain through à blood test they found out I was cmv positive.
