Can someone tell me where to get started to get information about pre k programs?

Tbh I just realized that preschool and pre k are different things. I’m still not so sure what the differences are. I want to make the best decision for my kids but need more information. His daycare has a preschool program but bc of his birthday he could possibly go to the daycare’s preschool program at 4 and then another program the next year before kindergarten. Right? I don’t want him going to the same program twice. Anyone else have a kid with a late birthday? He will be 3 in November. I’m lost!

PRE-K STARTS AT 4 THEN KINDERGARTEN AT 5. PRE-K IS A LOTTERY PROGRAM THO. I WOULD CHECK WITH THE COUNTY FIRST THO BUT FROM WHAT I KNOW HE HAS TO BE AT LEAST 4 BY SEPTEMBER TO GET INTO THE PROGRAM.

COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL WEBSITE HAS ALL THE INFORMATION YOU MAY NEED BTW

Headstart is also available for children under 3. You may want to look up Easter Seals of North Ga headstart

Thank you guys!
