Hey, my baby is 1 in a few weeks and everyone is moving over to growing up milk etc, my baby has only ever been breastfed but she has dropped feeds but still wakes all night for comfort feeds… is it nessecary to give her a milk style drink in the day or do I just do water and breastmilk ?

I don't think it's actually necessary but I was referred to a dietician because my boy has a wheat allergy and she recommended the Alpro growing up milk because there wasn't any iodine in his multivitamin. He didn't like it but I've managed to find another fortified milk that he likes by Koko.

Hey I’m just conscious as all of the alpro milks have seed oils inside. We use Plenish milks which are just oats, water and salt but like you said about vitamins - there aren’t any in that. I’m thinking do I just carry on without and just have breastmilk and water through the day? Does she actually need milk substitute especially with all the added crap inside?

I’ve just checked the koko one- doesn’t look like there is any oil inside!

That's good. I always end up varying milks during the week anyway, some organic, some fortified and sometimes soya for a bit more protein. I mainly use it for cereal and porridge.
