Not sure what’s happening : tw

Hi so I found out I’m pregnant a couple of days / a week ago. I’d be between 3-5 weeks The day before I did the first test I had some light bleeding which I thought was my period starting and when it stopped I then tested. I then did a few tests over the next few days which all came up positive. However I’ve been bleeding on and off like one day I’ll bleed then not for 2 days then bleed again. It’s not been much just when I go to toliet but today it’s happened twice and seems to be slightly heavier. I’m just wondering if my period is just messed up this month or if it’s a early miscarriage ? Or if it could be something else wrong as I’m confused on why the tests were positive even though bleeding. Thanks In advance *To add I phoned 111 and it wasn’t enough for them to suggest going in plus it would be too early too tell

I would still go in, they wouldn’t be able to tell from a scan at that point, but they would make 2 blood tests 2 days apart to see if the pregnancy hormone level is still rising the way it should as it should basically double every 2 days. Not to be pessimistic as it could be nothing, but in my case, when I started bleeding few days after finding out I was pregnant it was a loss 😞 Hope it will be all good for you ❤️

You can have bleeding and be pregnant. You’re pregnant from the tests , bleeding during pregnancy can be common for most , I had it at the beginning and through my second trimester at times , are you filling pads with the bleeding ?? If so that would be a worry , just keep an eye on the amount xxx

@Sophie it’s not enough for a pad just when I wipe on the toilet the tissue is covered, I’ve had a couple of drops on my pants that’s it x

Is it bright red ? Xx

@Nina thank you, I will ring them again x

@Sophie yeah at first then the next time after it there’s a bit of brown coloured then it stops x

Brown is old blood , if there’s a lot of fresh red blood that would be a worry but try not to stress , I know that’s much easier said than done ! Xx

Make a doctors appointment. Calling someone isn't going to help. You need blood tests

Just call your local EPU (early pregnancy unit pretty sure every health board in UK has one) tell them your bleeding and they will see you regardless of how far along you are, they will to do a pregnancy test, a transvaginal scan and maybe a blood test. If your pregnancy test is positive and it too early to see anything on the scan (you can sometimes see something from around 6 weeks) they will get you too come in again to repeat bloods in around 48 hours to see if your hgc is rising. If it's not they will say a miscarriage is likely happening. If your hgc is rising they will keep an eye on you. Bleeding can happen in early pregnancy but it's best to get it checked out. When I had bleeding in early pregnancy it was just spotting not heavy but it turned out to be ectopic if I hadn't gone to the EPU to get it checked I could of died.

I has bleeding when between 8 and 10 weeks I went to the hospital regardless they reassured me .however my period the month prior I lightly bled for a few hours and stopped . Go get checked they can test your levels
