Sciatica Pain

Any tips on sciatica pain? I’m 38 weeks and my lower back is killing me, especially when I walk. It feels like when I move my left leg it hurts my lower back. In addition, should I take a break from my CrossFit gym? Honestly just looking for any advice here!! TIA!!

Going to the chiropractor made a huge difference for me!

Kinesiology tape! Otherwise known as “pregnancy tape” but it’ll cost $10 more if you get the one called that lol. I’ve had chronic sciatica for years and when I was pregnant working as a nurse on my feet 10+hrs a day it was rough & it was the ONLY thing that helped with that as well as round ligament pain!

You can get it on Amazon but I know some people found it cheaper at their local stores

Epsom salt baths, ibuprofen, and some water exercise if you have a pool available!

Hi, I train a lot as well and in the last few weeks of the 3rd trimester all I was able to train was my upper body and incline walk with a supported belly band. Went to a physical therapist and they said to do sciatica stretches. You can search them up. +1 to Kelsey; Seeing the chiropractor every other day changed my life and made delivery super easy. Please take it easy on your body during these weeks 😊 it’ll be over soon!!

Lay on your back (on the floor) and scoot all the way against the wall and put your legs straight up against the wall with your butt flat on the wall. I found it more beneficial to do one leg at a time and put the other one straight out on the floor, so doing this stretch in a doorway or against the side of the couch
