Maternity leave and funded hours 🇬🇧

Looking for some advice please. My little girl starts pre school in September (15 free hours as she turns 2) I am then going on maternity leave in January. How does this work with the free hours? Do you still get them or do they stop until you go back to work? The maternity pay doesn’t equate to the £183 you need to earn for the funded hours.

Have a look at this link. It says you are still eligible when on maternity leave. https://www.gov.uk/check-eligible-free-childcare-if-youre-working#:~:text=You%20can%20usually%20get%20free,maternity%2C%20paternity%20or%20adoption%20leave

@Arsh thanks so much. I’ve read so many different things and it gets confusing after a while 😂

Exactly the same for us, 15 hours from September and Mat leave from January ☺️ it's based on your contracted hours/salary so it just assumes you're going back to work after

@Rio thanks so much :) x
