Nurseries etc

Does anyone else feel bad seeing all these nursery posts but you just can’t accommodate that? Fell pregnant under surprise circumstances, still at my parents house, my partner will be coming to stay until he has to go back to work - but the over crowding is just panicking me and seeing everyone talk about their nursery and baby room etc just makes me sad

Also fell pregnant by suprise, have moved in with partner and his house mate and his housemates girlfriend to a small 2 bed rented house. We have just managed to squeeze a moses basket in but no room for a cot (or a wardrobe for us either) so will be forced to cosleep for the foreseeable. Had always pictured having a home that less resembled a uni student house, with privacy and space for my stuff to exist outside of allocated draws. I'd love to have been able to make a nursery, or even just have space for me and baby to exist happily and be able to breastfeed freely around my own home. But we love baby, and will do everything we can to make it work, at least we kind of have a village now too, since neither of us have any family to get involved. And it won't be forever, we plan to get our own space eventually, even if that's a few years down the line, and have more kids, so I can get the chance to make a toddler bedroom and a nursery one day, and appreciate it even more

Baby will know no different. What makes a difference is you. That’s all they’ll know. Also, babies usually sleep with parents for around the first 6 months anyway, so having a nursery or not makes very little difference. Just you and love is all they need 💛

Girl your baby won’t know anything different just love them! A lot of the nurseries etc is for show, I’ll admit my girls rooms are for me to show off and have fun. My little one only cares that I get into her big bed with her when she needs me

Thank you ladies xxx

This baby was very planned and yet I don't have a nursery. We have two bedrooms and I rather keep the second available for all the visitors we're going to have. The baby does not need a bedroom for a long time and having a nursery gives you the excuse to spend money on things that are irrelevant. Don't let it bother you.

My pregnancy was unplanned too and we haven’t got a nursery either. We’re in the process of buying a house and everything’s up in the air with it so have no clue when we’ll be able to move (knowing my luck it’ll probs be around my due date lol 😂) and although we’re only renting at the moment, we are downsizing so we have 3 bedrooms now and we’ll only have 2 in the new house. My boyfriend works from home so he needs an office so when we eventually move, he’ll have to share a room with baby but she’ll be sleeping with us for about 6 months anyways. I’ve always worried about this too, seeing people going on about how they’re decorating etc but it’s just not something that everyone can/will have and that is okay!! Like others have said, baby won’t know any different, all that matters is your love and care towards them 🥰

Know how you feel me and my partner had different living situations at the start of the pregnancy and due to trying to save some money and his place not being a second floor flan I have moved in with him and his house mate ( only a 2 bedroom) so buba will have to stay in our room till his lease is up and we can get our own place. Feel like I have missed out on a portion of the first time mum experience as no nursery to decorate or plan 🙂🙂
