Feeling lonely

Is it just me or… I’m a first time mom and I’m currently on maternity leave. I’m feeling lonely and I’m the first of my friend group to have a baby and somehow they stopped reaching out eventually when I had the baby. They won’t even visit or ask me how I am. That’s probably why I’m looking for other mom friends whom I can somewhat relate to. Is it just me?

No it’s not just you , it happened to me too … it’s always better with people you’re on the same level with. You understand each other better. It’ll be okay :))

I completely relate! Had my first at 20 and am still the only one of my OG friends who has kids so i dont see them much. Don’t be afraid to make new friends who have little babies as well! The peanut pods really helped take away some of the loneliness and loss of adult interaction. I hope you’re able to make some awesome connections soon! 🫶🏼

I sometimes feel the same way but what keeps me sane is not taking anything personally my life isn’t the same anymore and it’s hard for people to sympathize or support you in ways you need to be supported because they’re not experiencing which you are going through and even if your vocal about it hard for some people to comprehend what we are going through mentally and physically

Feel free to message me if you need to talk. Our lives are not the same any more and that's okay we've got beautiful babies in our lives x

I feel the exact same way. we moved back to. my hometown when we found out I was pregnant and i had a bunch of friends here. I now only have 2 who talk to me. Motherhood is sadly a very lonely thing sometimes because there is very few who understand and many, like our moms, haven't done it in so long that they can't fully get it. I'm the first in any of me and my husband's friends to have a baby too. I've recently been joing groups like this because the loneliness is starting to take a roll and it's even more tough because your husband as hard as they try truly can never understand the change we go through and the constantly being needed
