Anyone else feel this way?

I hate living in the U.S. right now. I hate that I can’t go to the dentist because I literally can’t afford it. I also can’t work though because I would be paying for day care for my kids. And I have to live with my parents because I’m a single mom too. I don’t know if this is true but I feel like a better life would be more attainable in another country 😭

By the sound of it, it seems like you would qualify for state benefits, may I ask what state you are in?

In my opinion there are ways to make money in the US. It takes hard work and persistence. I do agree with you that living in another might allow for a better quality of life. The US has become something unrecognizable and can be embarrassing at times. I often think of going to another country. I just hope I would be welcomed and the uncertainty of how I will be recieved as an American holds me back

I've been looking into other countries and more and more people are leaving the us for other countries bc of cost of living, living a more soft life, safety, better healthcare, etc. I definitely plan on doing so myself very soon

What about neighbouring country Canada

Fortunately my husband is Indian and so we get to spend quite a bit of time in India. We've considered countless times an official move there.

In today's world I don't know how anyone doesn't have roommates. Then if you are on your own then you're in a fixed income apartment & that's 2 incomes. That don't make enough to afford healthcare so we get Medicaid but make too much for SNAP so we have absolutely nothing to our names & rely heavily on family to help us vacation etc. The US might be hard right now but I wouldn't move elsewhere. You would have to prove you are in danger in the US lol and or apply for citizenship in another country that definitely has better benefits. However you also take into account the difference in how those countries are run. What the cost of free healthcare is etc. but yes I agree. However the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Be grateful you aren't in a shelter or completely on your own.

I’m gonna respond to everyone in this comment. I live in Texas currently, I just moved from California because that’s where my kids dad lives and I had to live in a shelter after he kicked me out so needless to say I am grateful I’m no longer living there. But yes all in all I keep seeing more and more people leave the US for safer, healthier lives and I more than likely will be leaving too when I’m able to

The grass is always greener on the other side.. doesn’t mean it is what’s best though.. if you have the means and money to move to another country then go for it, if that’s what you really want.. some states are better than others but at the same time you have to put in the effort to accomplish what you actually want/need.. but if you have no income and live with your parents you should qualify for some state assistance.. you can’t always rely on your parents! They’re doing what they can obviously to help you but I’m sure it’s not going to be forever AND your ex should be giving you support for the kid(s) you have together. Especially if you left state with them… find a job working from home or something.. your kids need you and your parents can’t do it forever 🤷‍♀️
