kindergarten
my lo is starting kindergarten this year.
We’ve been trying to stay with her about learning her abc, 123, name, shapes, colors, etc.. but it’s like she’s not retaining much. I feel like I’m failing her, and I feel like the teachers are gonna think I failed her. That I wasn’t teaching her.
Idk what to do. I’m trying different methods to teach her but it’s like what she sees and hears goes in one ear and out the other.

I worked in elementary school for a few years. Being socially ready for kindergarten is more important. Kids vary a lot in what they know. The kindergarten teachers I worked with would rather parents work on social skills.
Ms Rachel videos on YouTube !!! She taught and raised my daughter basically lol my daughter is 3 . Knows her abc , 123 , days of the week, sign language etc . Thanks to Ms Rachel !

It’s nothing you did!! Every kid is different. Learning styles, environment, and when your kid retains certain info is all different with everyone and that’s ok! Once she’s in school she’ll see the other kids doing it. It could just be something that is hard to catch on with if she isn’t interested. Once she sees the other kids doing it and learning, it’ll peak her interest for sure. Don’t give up!!❤️
