When do our babies start school?

I would think in the UK at 4yrs and 10montha old so that would be Sep 2027? They would only be 3yrs old in 2026. I'm in Australia so it would be Jan 2028 which I'm glad about
I think it’s when they will be 4 - reception. So that’ll be September 2027 xx
Will it not be in the January of 2026 cause they miss the year so they turn 3 next year and then the January they start school?

@Hansa school around us don’t do a January intake anymore for reception. Obviously if it’s a pre school it’s school dependent. Legally kids don’t have to be in school till they are 5.

It starts in September the school year but as kerry said some places do a January intake so probs depends on school or pre school around you I guess...it's confusing lol
@Hansa I don’t think many do the January intake anymore and if they do they are more aimed for the children due to start when they have only just turned 4 but parents chose to defer, so the youngest in the year groups, not the older ones as a November born child would be.
