Upcoming RSV Season

How do you all plan to approach the upcoming RSV season? Last year we were pretty protective because our baby was a newborn. This year things look different because we’re actually going to Daycare so I feel like we’re much more at risk. How do you plan on navigating that with family?

My daughter hasn’t been sick at all, not even once .. she is 9 months. I am not worried at all.

I don’t plan to worry at all now that he’s older. We’ll just focus on nutrition as always.

I was so protective over my daughter last year because she was a newborn. No one touched her unless they washed their hands and absolutely NO ONE kissed her. She still got rsv and was hospitalized for it. I’m so nervous this year about it because she’ll be 1 in 2 months and I’ll have a newborn come next month.

We’ve told family we won’t be coming around if anyone is sick which is the normal rule of thumb for us, holidays don’t get an exception to expose my baby to any sickness that he may not recover from

Our baby was born in November last year so she was a newborn during the time and I baby wore her the whole time we went out to see family. No one touched her and no one was allowed to kiss her anywhere. Feet, hands, head, nowhere. She’s 9 months not and I’m not too concerned but family still isn’t allowed to kiss her because that’s just our rule and we don’t feel comfortable with it

Last yr when my girl was 21 days old she had RSV , luckily she was given RSV vaccine around 2nd wk ,, and we believe it had prevented her from getting hospitalized,, she was at home care and she did great. This yr also I had a scare for RSV and talked to the Dr as she will be going to day care,,, and we have a plan to go to San Diego,, but what the Dr told us that as the has been infected once she has the immunity now and if it unfortunately happens again she will be more than capable to fight it off,, But I sincerely hope she doesn’t get it
