Any reception teachers?

Hello! I m after some advice from reception teachers, please! I ve got a little person (2.5yo) who seems interested in letters and words. I d like to start casually working towards reading/writing ahead of reception. Is there a specific programme/ resource you would recommend to start, either now or in a few months time? Is there anything in particular I should be mindful of in order to not create confusion and make the teachers' job harder later on? Thank you muchly in advance!!

If you do any phonics make sure you say the sounds correctly plenty of videos on YouTube.

Just going to say similar to Jo, teaching the sounds is a great way to start and introduce them to your little one. Lots of support online about how to say the sounds correctly. Most schools/nurseries use different Phonics schemes so possibly hard to use the same as their school one. Reading lots of books (and anything with words on tbh)and using the pictures to tell the story too is great 😊

My son has learnt some from watching alphablocks.
