Ecce+Ncs funding

If your child is in crèche full time on NCS and ECCE funding Do you get reduced government funding for crèche when schools are closed? I assume it is more ncs hours used making a difference in invoice from crèche? Thanks!

Our crèche told me it’s adjusted for the breaks and they’ll change your NCS hours back up to full-time, so I think you get NCS for full time hours when the schools are off, if that makes sense?

Thanks I think so. I think when I sent form for ncs it adjusted hours when schools where closed to 45 hours and 30 when open (+15 hours ECCE). It's just quite a difference at moment. I assumed it is that ecce gives you more. I think Roderic was bringing in some increase in ncs from September so maybe won't be as noticable after

Yes the crèche should increase your hours by 15 per week when it’s summer or midterm break.

Yeah there’s the 15 free hours and then in September the NCS goes up to €2.14 p/h or something like it!

Our creche spreads the ECCE funding over 10 months so you always pay the same every month. The NCS will increase in September but a lot of creches will increase their fees in January. Still the cheapest form of childcare, though

Which creche ?
