Shopping & starting nursery

We honestly didn't do anything until about 20 weeks and then in the last 2 weeks we've started and got really carried away! Got all the big things nearly, some other practical things and basics and just emptied the nursery and bought paint! Nesting mode has fully started! Don't feel pressured though, I thought I wouldn't do any if it until the third trimester! As long as you're not stressed about it and you have the essentials when baby arrives it's ok 🧡

Omw I have the same question... I always felt like it's just too early to start shopping (out of the natural fear that something could still go wrong...) til a mom told me that it's better to live in faith and embrace the experience completely. Now we'll start shopping and that anxiousness went away.

We planned on buying everything in October for baby but we ended up getting lots of essentials on prime day as they had good deals on. And then the pram and car seat I was looking at came up on a very good deal so we brought that a week later. Due 4th Dec. It’s just the storage of it all but if you have space and a good deals on I’d say buy it. 🥰 x

I’m 22 weeks and have bought 2 vests, 2 sleep suits and 1 outfit. Don’t worry, there’s loads of time yet 🙂

I was given loads of bits but I found out I’m having a girl so have started buying little bits and currently living with my boyfriends parents so don’t have a separate room for the baby

Similar to above - brought a few things on Prime and took advantage of Boots baby event (15% off). I’m waiting until 24 weeks (which is in 2 weeks time for me) before buying other things. it is nice to get a few bits for excitement and also as it spreads the cost over time. However I think we are going to get the cot and travel system in third trimester (the more expensive items). I’ve also heard lots of people say fb market place is good for some stuff so I’m keeping my eye on that to see what comes up. There’s no right or wrong way, just do what is best for you 🩷

We’ve not started but I can feel nesting starting to kick in! It’s worth having a browse (no commitment needed!) as a few items I’ve seen are pre-order, and later down the line I already know I’m not going to be in the mood to be putting together flat pack 🤭

I still have living room and our own bedroom to decorate before the baby's room😄

I'm sure shopping for a few items earlier felt better to be that much more prepared! We're definitely looking at the larger items like pram, baby seat and co-sleeper on marketplace because there are so many great deals out there. November will see black Friday specials as well so eagerly awaiting that!
