Shellac while pregnant

No idea on the facts here but i have had acrylics on my finger nails and shellac on my toes the entire pregnancy, im all good baby is all good 🥰 treat yourself x

Yes it's fine but the therapist / technician will let you know

Ive had BIAB my whole pregnancy and so did my nail tech during hers so assume all is fine x

I’ve got shellac on my toes and builder on my fingers and the technician never said it wasn’t safe. The only thing I worried about was the chemicals in the air in the salon 😬

I have heard it is safe to have your nails done during pregnancy. We deserve a treat as well every now and then 😊 xx

Totally have mine done aswell, both pregnancies. Only thing last time when I was in labour I had a oxygen monitor on my finger due to complications, it’s difficult to get the readings so plan on leaving a finger blank for labour this time

I’ve been getting gels redone every 3 weeks the entire time and me and baby are fine

It’s totally fine. If getting gels remember to rub sunscreen on your hands 30 mins before exposure to the lamp. The technician will clean your nails so the product stays on but your skin will be just that bit more protected. However, ask the midwife/anaesthetist about gels in delivery if having a c section (I’m sure it’s fine but check).
