Batch cooking can create more time for self-care.

Today’s Happy Mindset moment suggests that doing repetitive tasks in batches can help us save time. 🍲✨ For example, you can save time and make room for self-care by batch cooking! Preparing meals in bulk means less time spent in the kitchen and more time for you. Instead of cooking every day, cook a large batch and store it for the week. This simple strategy can free up hours, allowing you to relax, enjoy a hobby, or take a well-deserved break. Do you cook in batches? If so, why and how does it help you? If not, what is holding you back? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I don’t cook in batches but would like to start doing batch cooking for my daughters meals specifically breakfast. Currently my daughter eats lunch and dinner but seems to be ready to have breakfast too. Due to our limited time before daycare batch cooking would help with the flow of my morning rush.

@Nikki Awesome! I tend to do batches more for dinner and lunch than breakfast -- tell me how it goes! Batch cooking can definitely make meal times easier!

I've seen somewhere, i wana say on fb a few ideas. Like overnight oats, i think there was on with like sausage an eggs and cheese thing (can't remember what it was). It was a good while when I seen it. But thats a good idea.. I would like to get into batch cooking. My kids are sooo darn picky.. Batch cukin is also good for grab an go for work.. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Its hard working a full day then having to come home and tend to "what's for dinner" and having to help with homework, get the kids ready for dinner and bed. Which kinda sucks cuz it's like u barely get time with them when its like that. (Depending on bedtime).. Sry, ges I kinda went into "vent" mode.. Lol

@Dontay No need to apologize!! Venting and Support is what we are hearing for 🫶🏻 I have tried batch cooking before and it never really worked for us mostly because no one ever wants to eat the same thing the mext day except me 🥴 However, I have been doing it a little differently lately and I think it's working better this time. So I have been meal prepping my lunches 3 days out because I never have time for making my own lunch. I make batch muffins and overnight oats for breakfast for my LO. I have been batching my weekly meat. So I usually buy I meat for the week and cook it all and then use it in several different recipes over the course of the week. I also batch 2 dinners a month. Something like baked spaghetti or chili. I freeze it into dinner portions and then use them throughout the month.

@Sarah ❤️❤️ I totally get it bout not wanting to eat the same thing over an over.. Im like you, i cud manage and do it. But my kids are picky eaters too sooo... Thats smart tho with ur plan..
