You have to make the effort to make mat leave friends. Peanut, baby groups, just random people in cafes. We're all in the same boat!
I did an NCT course with my first and spent so much of my mat leave with the mums I met there. Highly recommend antenatal classes for that reason alone!
Honestly I didn’t feel lonely at all. I did go to groups and still met up with friends/family, but half the time it was just me and baby out and i absolutely loved it. I took him everywhere with me. We’d go shopping trips, zoos, walks to different parks. I visited so many cities on maternity for day trips. We started when he was so young and it was just so nice. I felt so much more overwhelmed in the house x
Happy to meet up for coffee anytime. Pre or post baby xx
Go to pregnancy groups if you can. I met some amazing women at pregnancy yoga and met up with one for coffee last week. Also when baby is here you can join baby classes etc. I can’t lie it can feel like such a lonely world at times but you can meet new mummy friends and you’ll create such a unique bond especially if their little one is at a similar age 🥰
