D&C, HCG drop and LH surge
Hello all, I'd like to know how your experience has been post D&C.
I had my D&C on Jul 11. Today, 11 days later I took a pregnancy test and it was clearly negative, which means I have little to no HCG I think.
I also took an ovulation test, and there's a slight surge in LH.
So I'm interpreting this as D&C success and no retained products, and I'm going to ovulate soon, and should expect my period in next 15 days after which I can decide and TTC from the next cycle onwards.
Is my interpretation correct? Or have you known or experienced anything different?

But timeline wise I would say you’re right on point. This cycle may be a little longer than typical for you.

I had a very similar experience with my miscarriage 7 days after pregnancy test was negative and 3 days later I had a positive ovulation test. Usually my period arrives 14 days after ovulation. However, after this ovulation my first period came 21day after ovulation. Your first period maybe slightly delayed. My bleeding was very similar to before i was pregnant and now I’ve had a my first ovulation after period at 10 days which is the usual for me.

I didn’t test my ovulation, I just waited for a period and then after that I did test for ovulation and it was pretty quickly back to being the very predictable cycle I was used to seeing. But expect to see changes in your period. Mine was really light the first day and then very heavy after that with clots and I was kind of upset about seeing the clots because that was unexpected but it’s normal. Just a little challenging mentally for me. I hope this helps!
