I didn't get one with my first bub but I have one for my second, mainly just so for the 5 Min drop off/pick up from childcare etc I don't have to take bub out completely just to put him back in. I don't love the idea of leaving bub in the rounded position of the capsule for long periods of time so I won't use it for sleeps etc like some ppl do but will attach to the pram for short stints like running in for milk etc

Hmmm hard to say. At the beginning your newborn can’t stay in it for very long safely (approximately 30 mins), so it’s unlikely that you’ll get to use it to extend naps by lifting it out of the car and placing it in your house while your child naps. Later on it becomes quite heavy with both a baby >5kg and the heavy capsule. Also, I find it difficult to carry in and out of the car when I also have to take in and out a pram! Nowadays though we have had some success with prolonging naps which was nice. There are definitely pros and cons!

I used a capsule for the first 12months and loved it. My son was a preemie born 12wks early. I highly recommend it. But with any purchase of a car seat or capsule they have pros and cons.

If your having a winter bsby absolutely even though bubs grew out of it quick was the best thing

It definitely comes in handy if Bub falls asleep in the car. I bought one that goes up to 12m and my Bub who is 8m is still using it. It is quite heavy to carry if you don’t attach it to a pram though.

Not for first baby but it was invaluable with second baby for doing preschool pick ups without having to wake up baby getting in and out of the car.

No. They can't be used for very long, so value wise not worth it. If bub falls asleep, you need to transfer them out anyway. They shouldn't spend extended periods in any form of car seat. It's also not a terrible idea to get them used to transfers if they do fall asleep.
