I usually go to spin once a week as a bit of 'me' time and a break from our toddler. I really enjoy it as it's a high intensity workout but doesn't take such a toll on your body. The instructors are great too as if you're having an off day, you can just do your own thing so it's no pressure. My plan is to keep going until I feel wiped out/can no longer climb on the bike 😂 and I'm assuming exercise like this is fine? Is anyone else going to keep up their exercise routine during their pregnancy?

I have always been told that spin is fine when pregnant but you should be able to hold a conversation whilst doing it. You may just need to hold back a little bit and not go as hard as you usually do. I think its something to do with getting enough oxygen in for the baby

@Bethan ah thank you for this! That makes sense

@Kirsty No worries! I also love spin and do it very intensely 3-4 times a week so I understand the frustration 🙈 I just try to remind myself that I’m doing it now for different reasons and although it doesn’t feel like its benefiting me as much, it will hopefully help me have a healthier pregnancy, birth, recovery ect ☺️

@Bethan nice to speak to someone else who actually enjoys it! Usually I get 'are you mad?!' 😂 I'd 100% go more if I could fit it in around work and family life. I'll have to go with that mindset too as usually I aim to beat my personal best. I could also be getting way ahead of myself as if it's anything like my previous pregnancy, as of next week I'll be sick for 11 weeks 😅 Booked on for tomorrow though whilst I do feel OK
