Maternity allowance.

Do you have to send your mat b1 form with paperwork? Just I still haven’t received my maternity grant papers back and sent my matb for off to them? So do I have to wait to send off my MA form

You should get maternity exemption I got mine through on email more or less as soon as I fell pregnant xx

I wasn’t too sure on what to do either but I sent my matb1 form with the maturity grant forms.. but I was told by everyone that it can take up to 6 weeks maybe longer depending on the setbacks. (Your maturity exemption certificate is for prescriptions and things like your dentist)

@Lindsay Thankyou, not sure if I will be entitled as I am unemployed, tbh I am not clued up on this tbh

I'm unemployed as well I got it but I got mine when I registered my pregnancy on the NHS app xx

Got mine at first midwife appointment.

Thankyou, no all I have been given is matb1 form xx

Hey I think you will need to send off your actual MatB1 form. That’s what I did. You could always ring them and explain your situation they might let you send a photocopy of it (assuming you took one) x
