Feeling defeated

Hi yall. First time poster. So me and my husband have had 2 miscarriages, we have been trying for a baby for 1.5 years with no luck, we have literally tried everything the doctors have recommended, my husband did a at home test so he's not the issue. Every time I get my period I get depressed and feel like giving up. Everyone I talk to always says "at least you have one already" which yeah, I'm grateful for him, but we want a baby still. I'm a week late right now, I did take 3 tests yesterday and the first one was faint and the last 2 were negative. Idk what else to try or do right now. Just feeling defeated

Those are home sperm tests are not accurate. I would contact a fertility clinic and pay for a check where you get 2 semen analyses a month or so apart. Also hormone testing and a scan for you

@Charley thank you for that insight!! I always avoid going to the doctors for anything because they blame everything on my weight, I'm a solid 250 and most of it is boobs, thighs and butt. And I've had it in my mind that the doctors fucked up my surgery when they removed a cyst from my ovary and I'm scared that it's actually true

@Samantha I was 225 when we went for fertility treatment. I had to have a BMI under 35 to qualify so lost a little bit. My husband has terrible sperm quality but all my tests were normal. We had IVF with ICSI and now I'm 24 weeks pregnant with our first embryo transfer, so our lack of getting pregnant was never down to my side of things.

This is going to sound like a stretch but I would try acupuncture. I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the past and after my third one, I started acupuncture. The stress of TTC, on top of the trauma my body faced while miscarrying, and work stress made my body inhabitable for pregnancy. After a month in sessions my nervous system is regulated and we’re ready to try again. Like you, I’ve read and tried just about everything and had all the test. Two books I would recommend is it starts with an egg. If you have PCOS, how to get pregnant with PCOS. This book also talks about thyroid function.

I second the fertility testing for both you and your husband at a fertility clinic. I do believe you could actually get both done at your OBGYN but it depends on the doctor. Unfortunately a lot of doctors still use BMI for a lot of factors and it’s frustrating but sometimes you will find a doc who thinks it’s outdated and dumb (like mine did).

Both you all drink red raspberry tea daily, brew loose leaf not the pre-packed tea bags. You take Chaste Tree supplements daily. Less stress and control, happy moments increased on purpose. Fast from Alcohol, eat well but don’t be too restrictive, remember less stress.
