Friends without kids

Friends without kids that don’t understand why you’re tired all the time and you’re still going through the emotional rollercoaster so can’t really commit on hanging out (to do nothing basically) a few days in advance because you don’t know how you’ll feel that day, cause maybe you would just wanna be at home with your baby and cuddle like you’ve been doing for the past 3months! Also « hanging out » takes pumping sessions away (under supplier here!) Like I’m down to hang out sometimes but it will have to be a same day decision thing I’m sorry. Anyone else feels like this????

Last time I tried to hang out with a friend who didn't have a kid. They weren't happy when plans got pushed back because I had to feed or change a diaper. If I could get this kid to poop on demand, then I would, but that isn't going to happen. I'm also not going to leave my kid in a poopy diaper just because someone wants to leave the house ASAP. I'm also not going to let my child go hungry just so we can hurry up and get somewhere. People without kids will never understand.

My only childless friends are my primas (cousins) but coming from a laaaaarge hispanic family, they’ve all been around babies and have an understanding of how difficult and draining they can be so if they wanna hang out the day of, they just bring the goodies to my house and we make a day of it. They get their baby fix while my arms rest and we get our chisme on 🤣 the best of both worlds! I used to have a handful of childless friends and they’re simply no longer in the picture. I’m PROUDLY in my mom era and building my family, if they cant deal then there’s the door 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, have you looked into portable and/or wearable pumps? You dont have to lose out on a session that way! Be proud of your pumping and dont be afraid to flaunt it and live your life! ♥️ (I was an EP with my first, shit is hard work!)

@Aby love that! Yea idk it’s hard having childless friends now, especially in such an early stage of motherhood. Still figuring out a lot and I can’t and don’t want to be out for brunches, dinners and stuff like that, is that normal or am I just being boring? Lol And yes I have a wearable pump but for some reason it’s only comfortable when I hold it against my breast, I tried other brands and different pumping bras but I still end up holding it. Yes EP is hard! I wish I knew! I was nursing first and thought pumping would be easier and now she got used to the bottle and doesn’t want boob anymore 😫

@Cass exactly! They just don’t get it

I will nurse or pump in front of my friends, we have a baby we dont have going out money, we bring the baby with us everywhere.
