Dealing with the anxiety

I'm 6 weeks 2 days pregnant and the anxiety is so real. I can't stop worrying that it's not going to stick. I've just had so many friends who have had miscarriages or complications so all I can think is that now it will be my turn. I also had a bad experience last week where my doctors receptionist told me my blood test results looked like there was a chance the pregnancy was non viable or miscarrying. I ended up getting confirmation from my fertility specialist that everything was fine but I'm still so nervous. It doesn't help that symptoms come and go and I'm not as sick as I expected i'd be. Any tips for coping with the anxiety?

Congratulations on your pregnancy. To be honest I don’t think the anxiety and nerves ever go away. My pregnancy I didn’t have morning sickness or anything. No signs of any other symptoms until late 2nd trimester. I thought something was wrong but my midwife reassured me that every pregnancy is different. All I can say is just enjoy and try and be stress free each day. Talk to your midwife with your concerns and how your feeling, maybe they can recommend something for you. Wish you all the best ❤️

I started taking a high dose of Zoloft at about 6weeks for anxiety and 5mo pp I got back off because I felt nothing and I feel like I robbed myself of so much In that time! I'm lucky I am a SAHM and have an amazing husband. I take ashwaganda supplements, it helps inhibit cortisol, I go to AA more for a sense of community without having to maintain too personal of relationships, nature walks help me.

I had this with both my pregnancies - and there is no real cure or answer. Just try to stay positive, try not to over think or focus on what it’s. I know all very easy to say. Did your fertility specialist prescribe anything? For my last one I was on asprine for a while x

@Laney I can't imagine how hard 7 miscarriages must've been for you but so happy to hear about your rainbow baby ❤️ those affirmations are great, I think they'll be super helpful, thanks for sharing

@Kirsty yeah that's what's so annoying hey, you know that worrying won't change anything but hard to stop. Yeah they said I can take aspirin to hopefully reduce risk so I have started that too. Having another blood test tomorrow to check my levels are still tracking up so 🤞 that will provide some reassurance too

Ive had 2 miscarriages and got to the point i didnt think i could even carry a baby but now im 16weeks 3 days with a health very active baby just try not to stress, i worry with every little bump or even just slight pain that somethings wrong but its best to stay positive
