Gym.

Does anyone know of any gyms you can take your babies to? Or what to do in terms of working out (wanting to liftweights) with a newborn?

David Lloyd in Purley (by Wilson’s school) and Virgin Active in Bromley (or Beckenham) have crèches.

There’s also a Mama Fit class where you can workout with the babies.

@Michelle do they do this at David Lloyd? And do you know the prices of it? Thank you ☺️

@Riva £3 a month to bring your baby and the crèche is £7 an hour. The membership is super expensive! (This is for my local one in Purley)

David Lloyd and Virgin Active have different memberships to choose from. If you do a tour you can get a free trial period at David Lloyd. David Lloyd has a crèche & soft play area and you can get regular guest passes too. I did a tour of David Lloyd, but didn’t sign up. It was quite expensive. I think virgin was more reasonable. There’s also a limit on the number of hours that are free for the crèche per week.

@Michelle thank you! Yh I checked online and looks quite expensive! I’ll see about the free trail though thank you

@Dipti thank you, I’ll have a look into it. I wish there was a cheaper option! They should make mum and baby groups more affordable

@Riva 100% agree!

David Lloyd

@Michelle I’m looking to sign up at David Lloyd but want to be prepared before I go in for a tour. Do you mind sharing how much membership prices were please?

@Eloise it depends on the membership you choose. I chose not to join, but my friends pay a couple of hundred for a month for the two parents and two children.

@Eloise about £195 per person on the diamond membership (they don’t offer this on the website but you can ask them about this one). The others are a lot more 🙈

@Dipti omg that’s the cheapest one!! Way too much I thought it would be around the £120 mark! Thank you hun

@Eloise I know! It’s insane, I should have married for money 😂. You’re welcome x

I don't know if you'll be interested, but I am a personal trainer and will soon be starting up my mobile personal training business for mums. I'm also going to be holding fitness classes for mums where they can bring their baby or toddlers along. I'm still finalising everything but I can send you more info once I have it all ready?

I found that when I had my son and wanted to get back to gym that there are no facilities that are affordable in the area, and I want to help mums who are busy or don't have means for childcare to stay active
