Lonely

Anyone else feeling so lonely at times? 5weeks PP and man it’s really hitting me tonight. Maybe because I’m so tired. I’ve started keeping baby Al night and day by myself since hubby is working so much lately. He’s in the hot sun all day so he’s so drained at night. We barely have time to talk. Of course there’s no time for intimacy and my body isn’t even ready yet. I’m trying not to let it get the best of me but I feel so sad 😞

Yes…I live with my husband and in-laws. I opted to stay and pay to renovate an area for my husband, baby and I so I could have help with the baby when needed by my MIL. It’s not going as planned and I feel like my MIL and husband team up on my when I request something done a certain way or I’m told it’s not important or whatever the opposing response would be. I feel like I’m in a house of people who should care about me and my well being, but honestly I feel so alone. My sister came to see me last weekend (lives in TN) and it was the hardest goodbye I’ve ever done with her. Just trying to stay positive.

The first several weeks are REALLY tough. I’m 9 weeks pp and definitely have had days where I felt lonely/sad, but in my experience, you start to feel more like yourself as the weeks go on and as baby starts to sleep a little more (weeks 7-9). I’ve found that getting outside really helps change my mindset and makes me feel less isolated- especially if you live in a place where ppl are walking by, etc. And I wouldn’t be ashamed to ask for help- whether it’s your husband, family or friends. It’s A LOT to navigate on your own- and even a 15/20 min break each day would likely be a game changer. If you need a buddy to chat with, feel free to message me 🙂

Yep. I feel horrifically absolutely alone. Even though I live with my SO , my family lives in another state completely and they are my lifeline. I’m 16 weeks pp. I thought it would pass and I would get better but it’s honestly just gotten worse.

So good to hear that I not alone in this feeling atleast! I do hope to go out more once little one is vaccinated. Also it’s just sooo hot out

@Britney I’m so sorry that you’re going through this 💜

@Lynelle thank you 😊

@Crysta I’m so sorry hun 😞

Thanks babes 🫶🏽. Although my SO is SUPER supportive, I just feel like I’ve lost everything and I have to start all over again since I had a baby.

Yes. My boyfriend works for the post office. So I’m up with my baby day and night as well. With it being so hot out and walking for 7+ hours 6 days a week he definitely is drained as well. So you’re not alone❤️

You need to have at least one or two hours for yourself if you cannot do it only with him. I will still keep up with dinners even so these days are one of us eat at the time. It’s true he works on the sun. But lack of sleep and a baby 24/7 is a very hard job. Remind that yourself and also to him.

Same here, these first 5 weeks have been rough, like I’m not depressed I don’t think, but im definitely lonely and hella exhausted. Prayers for us both mama ❤️

@Caroline I passed her to daddy almost 2 hours ago but I still am not sleeping. It’s so hard to need the time to rest but also not able to rest while she’s away and feeling like the day is passing you by….

Feeling the same over here mama ❤️ praying it gets better for us
