Miscarriage/chemical pregnancy

Can anyone who has experienced one prior to 5 weeks explain how it presented. I’m getting brown spotting. Would a miscarriage develop with more blood or not if it’s so early?

I started bleeding with red blood on 4 weeks and 4 days or so (a day after positive pregnancy test). I called to ask what to do and was told if bleeding increases and looks more like period, to take a test to confirm I have miscarried a week later, because pregnancy hormones can show for some time after a miscarriage. I was told if I stop bleeding to reach out for confirmation of pregnancy at week 8 with a vaginal scan. Unfortunately bleeding increased. It was just like a regular period. Hope it dries up for you and all is well x

Brown blood would not instantly make me think miscarriage as brown is old blood not new also you would get a lot of cramping and heavier red blood for miscarriage x

I hardly had any cramping. Certainly not more than my usual period and not any in the first 2 days. I so hope this isn't what is happening to you and it's just some spotting! Not trying to scare anyone here, just being honest. You can always call your health provider for reassuance and advice too, as everyone is different and we can only tell you what has happened to us.

Mine started just like my period. Pink and brown discharge then heavy bleeding and worse cramping for longer than a normal period

Brown spotting it typically normal but you should def get a visit with your ob as soon as possible to make sure and if your worried go to the ER peace of mind is better than worrying and waiting
