Prenatal Vitamins

Hey everyone, I'm on the fence about whether or not I want to take prenatal vitamins. For any moms taking them, could you name the ones you like best if you don't get them from your doctor? I'm interested in natural or organic products. Thanks!

I would say yessss to prenatal vitamins! It’s an important part of babies development physically and their cognitive development. I took New Chapter Prenatal Multivitamins and Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA, I bought them at Wholefoods. Later in my pregnancy I started taking Choline, Vitamin D, and extra Iron. These last three aren’t so necessary but I did it mainly because your body is creating a little human that is taking so much from you and I wanted a healthy pregnancy and most importantly a healthy baby. Obviously I’m not a doctor but my opinion, I ran it by my doctor and she thought it was great.

I took pregnacare when I could for the first 12 weeks but i was sooo sick I couldn’t always take them and touch wood everything is ok so far🤞🏻 I now take vitamin D.. when I remember😂xx

I like Wild Nutrition and also ones from the Natural Health practice. If not taking them you need to make sure you’re getting enough folate and vit D in other ways.

i took the garden of life prenatals! they’re organic/non gmo and i had no issues with them. they are a little big of you have problems swallowing pills, i just cut them in half to make it easier. i also took nordic naturals omega blend

I’ve been taking Mary Ruth liquid prenatals and they are god sent. I can’t do the pill form whatsoever and this is the only one I found that have worked for me :)

Baby&me2 prenatal I do suggest not completely relying on them for nutrition. I try really hard to eat one or more servings of fruit, vegetables, and meats everyday, with fish and nuts 2-3x a week. Eggs are really nutritious as well. Also make sure you’re getting probiotics from food or supplement, as during pregnancy you’re more likely to experience changes in Ph, which can lead to infections like yeast, BV, or UTI. Goodluck ❤️

@Shannon I found it was the pregnancare making me nauseous sick 🫣 once I stopped them I was fine.

I like Thorne , I was consistent the last 3.5 months. I think it makes a difference! I took them at night tho I couldn’t stomach them or would forget during the day

I use pregnacare. If you don’t want to take the prenatals you 100% should be taking at least folic acid and vitamin d tablets for the first 12 weeks minimum.

If you don't take them, just make sure you eat folic acid foods and healthy foods. If you take prenatal make sure they don't have Vitamin A or C in them (bad for baby),
