You should 100% be taking folic acid until 12 weeks. Anything else is really additional. Although in the UK vitamin D is recommended. Everything else you should get from your varied diet.

I’ve been taking pregnacare my midwife also recommended it :)

I'm taking a prenatal vitamin still, but also gotta watch the Vitamin A intake if you're looking at regular supplements. Too much is bad and it's in a lot of healthy vegetables that you might have in your diet!

I’m 28 weeks now and I’ve been taking Ritual Prenatal and Natal Choline for this entire pregnancy. I started omega 3 gummy’s after clearing it with my doctor around 12-16 weeks and I just started taking magnesium at the direction of my doctor due to leg cramps and headaches.

I did a lot of research on this! You need Methylfolate which is the active form of Folic Acid - Folic Acid is the synthetic version and a lot of us can’t convert it in the active form. I take the following: - Proceive - Prenatal DHA - Magnesium (Glycinate as it’s better absorbed by the body) Specifically to me I also add Iron tablets as I was low. I don’t add Vitamin D as Proceive already contains the RDA and you can have too much Vitamin D. I’ve just added Choline too as there’s been a lot of research on how good this is for baby brain development

@Sophie Pregnacare is a low quality supplement as it has the synthetic form of many nutrients, contains a cheap form of iron at a high dose which can lead to constipation and nausea, contains many binders / fillers which you want to avoid and finally it’s missing some key nutrients (or those it does include is in low doses). I did a lot of research on this and I’d recommend taking Proceive, which has the active form of many vitamins (e.g. Methylfolate which is the active form of Folic Acid and better absorbed by the body).

@Sophie they recommend it because it’s an easy tick box for them and for you but like the other Sophie has said it often has a bunch of unnecessary stuff also in it.
