UK only - school holidays

If the Tories don’t win the election this Thursday, do you think Labour (likely winners) will reverse the new rules that are due to come into place in August? 🤔

No, I don't think they will.

Very unlikely. I know the possibility of cancelling summer recess for Parliament has been mentioned, but I doubt they’ll do that. Ministers would then need to be appointed and get up to speed with their departmental portfolios, and so realistically nothing that requires ministerial sign off will be done until about October time (that’s the timeline we’re working to in my job anyway!).

You just got to be savvy about it… what the schools don’t no they can’t do anything about. The moment you put in a holiday request form your screwed because then they have that file. Just don’t fill out anything and they can’t do anything. Just email in and say illness’s that also don’t require “sick note” like “viral” “ will monitor at home will keep you updated” send it via email and keep them posted every few days. X
