Feeling empty

These past couple of days has been hitting me hard. Im so overwhelmed with being a mother with little to no help. Everything is all on me and I swear to god I love my son more than the air I breathe and will do anything for him. But I have grown to hate being a mother and all the responsibilities that comes with it. I feel it so just so unfair the other parent can just opt out and leave the full responsibility one parent. I been a single parent since day 1 and no breaks from my child. Only break I get is when I am working. This is just so much mentally and feel like I’m could crash out any day now. I don’t even recognize who I am as a person anymore I have truly lost myself in motherhood.

It must be something in the air. Same feelings all weekend with the exception that I love being a mom. He’s the only thing that makes me smile.

I’m in the same boat, I just don’t work.I still feel the same way over the 3years I’ve been a mother. My mum said it does get easier when they start school 🤷🏽‍♀️, you’ll have more time for yourself.

I want you to know that want you are experiencing is not motherhood but a form of torture. You are constantly stimulated and that is a form of torture which is why you are feeling this way. It’s not just valid it’s the only natural response to what is going on. You are a survivor but I want you to know that you shouldn’t feel anything about motherhood in particular because you are doing the job of a village alone. Motherhood is not a solo project and the way things are set up in modern day society would have left a lot of people dead ages ago. I’m in the same position and the best advice I have is to remember that it does get easier as they age. And if you can please move close by friends and/it family that can help. Making mom friends is also a good idea because hanging out with them can feel less stressful and you ladies can vent about life. Spirituality has has helped me. Jesus is my rock. You lose nothing by calling on Jesus for help and answers in this difficult time!🙏🏽💗
