Large clot

I passed a large clot and some blood yesterday, I’m supposed to be 6 weeks today. Am I supposed to be bleeding if it’s a miscarriage??

Definitely call your doctor as this is a good reason to be checked out. It could be a miscarriage or it could just be a hematoma. I hope everything is ok ❤️. I’ve been through both if you have questions.

I was at the hospital on Saturday they could see the gestational sac and yoke, my hcg was 8023. I was at my doctors office when I passed it, he said to go to an ultrasound. I’m so confused.

@Anna Would the symptoms go away immediately? If it was a miscarriage

Every case of bleeding is different. Call your doctor for sure When I have a MC I was just under 6 weeks started bleeding in the morning and the same day passed a big clot. Period came with it

No. Symptoms don’t usually go away until your HCG goes down to 0. When I had my losses, it took a week or so for my symptoms to wane. Your doctor made the right call to tell you to go to ultrasound. Do you have a follow up? They should be able to detect cardiac activity later this week if the pregnancy is viable.

Was that your first time bleeding during the 6 weeks?

@Taja I started spotting on Friday it went away the same day and on Saturday I stood up from sitting and the was a big gush of blood followed by a clot. I went to the hospital the baby was still in there.

Some times it could be subdural hemorrhage if you got ultrasound after and seen a sac still you might be okay

With you now being 6 weeks if you give EPU a call they should book you in x

Any blood at all (especially with clots) while pregnant is a reason to call the Dr. it could be a miscarriage, it could be a SCH which is why they sent you for an ultrasound to check. Symptoms won’t disappear until HCG is at a 0.
