Lonely

I'm 6 weeks post partum and feeling so lonely. I have 1 friend who doesn't live in my town or have children, and feel a bit of an outsider with my family. I love being with my hubby and kids but would like to meet new people, but always feel awkward around people. I keep saying I'm going to go to baby groups with the baby but can't bring myself to do it and that really gets me down.

I'm exactly the same only my youngest Is 1 year old now 😕 it's horrible when u want to do something try something new but your head stops you xx

Are there any nice parks where you live? You could always take baby out and people-watch. Sometimes my baby and I do that on our pavement. We have a lot of cars drive down our street 😀 he loves it

@Susan yeah we have a lovely park in my town, we go for walks there a lot.

I think motherhood for many of us is lonely. Does this feeling ever go away? I hope so. Reach out to me if you want to talk

Motherhood is very lonely. Feel free to message me. I’d love to meet at a park or for coffee or something. The first few months postpartum were pretty rough for me with all the hormonal changes and stuff. I also feel awkward a lot of the time and literally need to force myself into o go to playgroups as well.

Not sure what state you're in but I'm always down for videocalls if out of state and will soon have a vehicle for meet ups in my state lol
