Doppler or not?

I am going to Portugal in our camper van and will be 29 weeks to 31 weeks when away. I am a little worried that if I don’t feel movement while away I will need to find a hospital to get checked out, but it’s not quite as easy as the UK. Would you suggest taking a Doppler or not so I can check all is OK myself? I’m in 2 minds.

They say just because we can hear a heart beat doesn’t mean healthy baby, so I wouldn’t bother personally. If you feel like baby’s patterns changed then best to get checked regardless. However, if you just want Doppler to listen in to baby whilst away then why not! But I wouldn’t use it instead of seeking medical help if worried x

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. It’s about movement isn’t it and if there is a change I should get checked out anyway. Thank you

But if you have one anyway and just want to hear baby then no harm taking it 😊xx

Doppler at home is no guarantee that baby is ok

Always need medical attention

There is a risk to using a doppler if you're not trained. They emit heat which if used for too long in one spot can cause problems. I would be wary of using one without being trained first.
