This feels rigged / impossible

I can’t get child care cause I don’t make enough money, but I can’t make enough money because I don’t have child care!!!! Lmfao I’m actually so lost and frustrated and feeling defeated. I feel like us as women need to create a little group where we take turns watching eachothers children so mama can go out and do whatever she needs/ wants to do for a few hours. Then we flip and you watch the children for a few hours so the other mom can do whatever. Work on her buisness,go to the gym, relax, work, school. Just a thought/cry for help lol

@Sierra around 24, give or take a few hours. I just work weekends cause that’s when I have help watching my son

Right. I’m not sure how it is where you live. But you should ask them what’s the minimum amount of hours you can work a week in order to get child care.

@Sierra i can get it it if I pay for it straight out, but I’m saying I don’t have enough money and I also tried for government financial assistance and they said I made too much I barely make 800 a month .

I understand. Maybe you can call or go there and explain that you need the child care in order to work more days because you don’t have anybody to watch your child.

In the exact same boat as you, I’m sorry 😩 I make $200 too much to qualify for childcare assistance, but I can’t work less because I’m already struggling to pay what I need. It makes zero sense.

This is 1000% a USA issue and policy changes need to be implemented ASAP! They officially stated that child care is more than mortgage these days! Plus all these wait lists?? This is not a thing in Europe.. US needs to step up and help families more…
