Everything you do for your husband is a charity the same as you do for your friend, your family and any stranger but even more for your husband they say heaven lies under your mothers feet but even more so when you’re married it’s your husband that could take you to jannah so if he wants you to cook, don’t see it as a chore, see it as a charity especially if he’s paying for the bills and if you can’t cook, you can learn if not tell him. But don’t be lazy! When you have kids you will cook when his away working!

Islamically no! But it depends on the setup/arrangement you both have

Islamically no - this is a misconception sometimes due to culture But as Noor said it depends on what agreements you had in place when discussing marriage I would say there is sometimes depending on culture huge expectations on wives to do xyz so it's important to know your rights. Go to an Islamic class, speak to a scholar - female if possible and do an online course so you're educated in terms of your rights and not being pressured into doing something for the sake of culture

@Rae I wish they do the same on their end to manage there expectations towards wives..

Thanks ladies
