Pregnancy after miscarriage

Hi everyone! I’ve found out today that I’m pregnant again after having a miscarriage last month, we’re very pleased if a little shocked at how quickly it happened. The issue is, I have no idea really how I would calculate how many weeks I am as I fell pregnant in the first cycle after my miscarriage so didn’t have a period. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Hey, congratulations! This happened to me too! I was monitoring my ovulation days after my MC and when I ovulated and later found out I was pregnant, I used the ovulation date/conception date calculator online and used my ovulation date to calculate how many weeks I was...

Hiya congratulations 🌈, I'm in the exact same boat I had surgical management for my missed miscarriage 14th may, tested negative 10 days later and had a positive test yesterday! Complete whirlwind! With my miscarriage I was advised I could get early scans at the hospital to check progressions so I've contacted my GP for a referral. They should be able to date the pregnancy that way fairly quickly 😊

Congratulations! I contacted my local EPU but they’ve said they won’t see me for any blood tests or a scan unless something goes wrong which I’m a bit disappointed about. They told me to calculate a rough estimate from the date I started bleeding heavily with the miscarriage. So I guess it’s a few weeks of anxious waiting ahead.

Would you consider a private scan? I didn't last time but after everything that happened it's completely changed my mind!

Yeah I think we will, but I want to wait until about 7/8 weeks in case I’m not as far along as I’ve calculated - if I went too early and they couldn’t see a heart beat I think I’d be more anxious!
