I had to move out of New York and can’t adapt living here
I’m so depressed I had to move from New York to Rhode Island and it’s horrible. I miss living in New York so much, but our rent was getting so expensive we thought it was going to be better somewhere else but I can’t adapt to living here it’s sad and grey people are very rude food has no seasoning,kids are incredible mean . I’ve been here for 6 months neither me or my kid made friends. People at my husband job are racist. I just miss New York so much. Im sad

Damnn sis I haven’t really heard good things about Rhode Island . Do you have family in any other state?
Sorry ur experiencing that maybe try look into the meetup website and see if there is any groups you can join that seem interesting. There’s also an app called bumble to make friends.
I'm so sorry that it's not welcoming. I have traveled a lot and haven't felt as safe as I do outside new york because of the things you mentioned, BUT, there are usually small pockets of kind people in alternative spaces like yoga studios. I hope you find a community that cherishes you.
