How did you get through multiple miscarriages?

What did help you to heal? I'm going to have the D&C surgery next week. I'm 10 weeks pregnant but there is no heartbeat. And it's not the first time. I'm devastated and feel almost paralyzed with sadness. I have no energy to do anything. It is my 3rd missed miscarriage and I also had 2 miscarriages. It's the 5th time. After my first missed miscarriage I had a healthy pregnancy with an amazing and healthy baby. I don't understand....I'm so shocked and confused

Never never, lose hope šŸ¤šŸŒˆ sending lots of love, so sorry youā€™re going through this xx

I'm so overtired and sad...and here in the Netherlands I don't feel assisted and helped enough by doctors. They don't run the tests and is always a fight to ask to have some checks done

Iā€™m so incredibly sorry for your lossesšŸ’”šŸ˜¢ Iā€™ve had 4 miscarriages (1 was missed) and it was extremely hard to have hope again. My last one was just months full of horrible things so I honestly didnā€™t know if I was going to make it through. I ended up talking to a therapist for a little bit which honestly didnā€™t help much. I tend to keep my feelings bottled up inside, but I decided to just say how Iā€™m feeling and talk about it with my family and my husband. Not staying silent is what helped me the most and coming on here seeing I wasnā€™t alone. Once I was feeling a bit better I started doing aqua fit with my mom which was nice because it was an hour out of the day where my mind was occupied and I didnā€™t feel sad. Keeping myself busy was a big help too because otherwise I would have just laid in bed depressed 24/7. You should try and push to have testing done. I had it done and everything came back normal, but a fertility doctor put me and my husband on certain supplements and meds

Which resulted in me finally being able to make it to the second trimester. Itā€™s so frustrating when your body isnā€™t doing what itā€™s meant to do. At least with the testing I knew itā€™s not genetics and my insides are working like they should and we wouldnā€™t of had the opportunity to be put on supportive medication if we didnā€™t get referred to the specialist. Donā€™t forget to let yourself feel and cry when you need to and do whatā€™s best for youā¤ļø

Thanks Sarah for sharing your experience. Unfortunately here in the Netherlands doctors don't do a lot of prevention and are always reluctant in making tests. I had to fight and I have made some, will get feedback at the end of the month. But honestly I've lost trust in them and still I don't know if they're doing all the checks. Also, I had a healthy pregnancy already so they just say "now it's bad luck". If I don't get answers I'll go to Italy and will see a specialist there

@Gaia thatā€™s so terrible Iā€™m so sorry thereā€™s no supportšŸ˜¢ Iā€™m in Canada and itā€™s protocol to be referred to a specialist once youā€™ve had 3 miscarriages in a row. I hope you can get the help you need! In the meantime just focus on letting yourself healā¤ļø

Thanks Sarah ā˜ŗļø

Ive had 1 missed miscarriage, 2 miscarriages and 6 chemicals. The mmc was the most horrific, my body didnā€™t respond to surgery or medication which meant I was continuously miscarrying for 3 months and in incredible pain. And of course an emotional mess. Iā€™m young, and because of this the doctors have refused to do investigation until now - I know the advice is hit and miss but I have found TikTok super useful. Thereā€™s so many women and doctors on there who talk about different supplements, medicines and their experiences (obviously do your own research), but info I found on there has helped myself and I my partner. I try to keep busy but sometimes I need to be in a sad hole and scrolling listening to other people talk about the same experience does help to get out the emotions

Thanks for sharing @Jessica ..The MMC is an awful experience and honestly I did one the tablets to induce the miscarriage and it ended up in a big trauma, very painful and I almost lost consciousness due to the blood loss, and eventually I had to undergo a curettage anyway. I wouldn't advise that in 2024 at all, I find it inhuman! I totally get you when you talk abou the "sad hole". I feel & hug you šŸ¤—
