DHA?

Is anyone NOT taking DHA? I’ve asked my OBGYN if I should get a supplement, as my prenatal doesn’t have DHA. I got a “take it if you’d like” response. Everything I read online seems to recommend taking DHA, though, so I’m pretty confused.

I took them! If you want to go for it

I believe there’s some conflicting research on it. I don’t know the details.

Typical OB answer. So what people need to realize is to not look to them for nutritional advice… the average Dr gets 4 hours of training in med school on it- You 100% should be taking dha… as a matter of fact taking it for the rest of your life You DO NOT want it to be part of your prenatal- you need a good high quality tested fish oil.. as a matter of fact- In addition to my prenatal I’m taking 10 other supplements to get what I actually need during pregnancy. Anyway dha is Huge for development of your babies brain.. it sucks dha from yours to make it hence “pregnancy brain” I have consulted with many naturopaths and “needed “ is some of the best formulations you can do.. most will say 4-600 mine is a whopping 1000 mg each on top of me eating fish almost daily..

I was taking this one pre pregnancy- all good quality and vetted for contaminants

I take TwentyTwo Nutrition (for a few reasons) but it has DHA in it! I have noticed the difference. I started with a generic CVS brand prenatal without DHA and felt like I couldn’t focus or think clearly. I’m doing it for my own health and baby’s! Of the mindset that all the nutrients are probably best especially if I know I’m not always able to eat the best. 😷

I’ve always taken prenatals that have DHA included and I take an Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement as well. I also take a Vitamin B complex, Vitamin D3 and Iron. Been eating one grapefruit a day to get my daily dose of Vitamin C as well.

My prenatal has DHA and folate. I also like drinking milk so I have the horizon organic milk with DHA.

Yes take DHA

By dha do you mean omegas?
