Feeling lonely

Does anyone else feel like a single parent sometimes? Like when my husband is off playing golf, or doing yard work all day, or goes out to stores or fishing and I’m home alone with the baby. Or do you enjoy the alone with your little one? It’s just a lot to care for them alone all day and the evenings and weekends too…

I am a single parent, and it is a lot.. Have you tried talking to your husband about how you feel? Can he keep the baby for a couple hours so you can get some you time?

i definitely feel this way… my husband is constantly working and when he is home he plays his games but i would definitely try talking to him ever since i talked to my husband about it he has stepped up quite a bit

Yes I feel this way. I'd say it's both lonely for me and I love being her primary caretaker. It's complicated

@Kristen agreed 100% I get mad when he doesn't help out, but then I also don't want him to take her. I think I more want him to do the work that comes along with her. He'll be like babe, I'm ready, are you ready? And I'll say no, so he goes to watch TV. But he doesn't offer to take her, or feed her, or pack her bag. He doesn't turn the car on. He acts like nothing is different now. And then he gets mad because I get myself ready, then feed her. Then change her diaper. Then make sure her bag is packed. And it takes too long. But he still won't just do it himself. 🙄

@Cassandra exactly. Like please help me clean her bottles once in a while or get her bag ready for the next day so I can relax. He's napping on the couch while I'm trying to be attentive to her and get everything ready for Monday.

Yeah, my husband has been watching TV, while I'm rocking her and her, and getting dinner ready, and cleaning the bathrooms... It's just like... Help? Please?

Yes a lot of the time. It’s hard because he has 3 days off but since he works 4 days for 12 hours he’s exhausted and needs to rest but I do too! Day and night care takes a toll on us mamas too! Especially when we do it all day everyday. Then on his other days he just wants to relax. Most of the time, I just say watch the baby I’m going grocery shopping just to get out and breathe.

I feel like a single parent alot of the time..

I understand completely!! I feel the same way but I also have ( all together so it gets a little overwhelming at times. Especially being that my baby is exclusively breastfeeding but I say hey. Ima enjoy. This being if my last baby 🥹🥰

Go out and do stuff with your baby. My partner works a minimum of 60 hours (soon to be 70) and you really just need to have a girls day where you invite over a friend. Plan out your week, pool days, park days, movies (alamo draft house has baby days).
