Lonely?

I’m 14 weeks, first pregnancy and I have a partner. Lately I can’t stand him being around all the time and generally feel very lonely with this pregnancy. Is this normal?

Yes yes yes! It’s so normal. I wish someone warned me about this when I first became pregnant.

Thank Goodness. I thought I was going mad! Thank you 🙏🏼

I hated being touched or hugged or anything in the early months of my pregnancy. I just felt so overstimulated all the time and was only happy in a quiet room by myself. It was a really strange experience and was very isolating but eventually got better around 16-18 ish weeks

@Val that’s so kind of you x

@Becca exactly how I feel!!! It’s good to know that 1. I’m not alone (the irony) and 2. it will pass. Thank you 🙏🏼 x

Same as me. Can’t stand anyone being around me at the moment, it’s just hormones and body changes 🩷

This was exactly How I felt with my Partner on the first trimester, so lonely and felt as though no one understood how I was feeling, will defo get better in a few weeks, sending love 🩷

Thank you all so much @Hollie and @Tiffany - it means a lot to read your experiences and know it will pass.

Very normal, i went through a phase where it felt like I hated that man. But 28 weeks now it’s all calmed down a bit lol. Loneliness is defo real too. I dealt with it by looking at old memories/pics/messages and reminded myself my hormones just have me tripping
