David Lloyd

Hi, does anyone have a membership to David Lloyd. I want to start working out again as doctors have give me to all clear after my c section but I want to go during the day to avoid sacrificing family time. How do the memberships work and is it worth it? Or is there any other gyms with a creche joined to them? TIA x

It is a really good gym, and you get the pool and spa area… however the crèche is an additional fee per hour on your membership price x

My partner was signed up for the one in Solihull before & in all honestly when I went I just couldn’t get over how expensive it was! It was £160 pm just for 1 person plus the food was really not great & yes you have to pay extra per hour at the crèche which is only open for I think 2 hours in the morning. 💕

I have had a DL membership for 5 years, it’s only worth it if you use it regularly, additional to that they are always offering the 14 day membership which really changes the vibe as it loses its ‘family gym’ feel with there recently being a fight in the weights area at the shady lane with blood up the walls site. If you work in the NHS you can get the basic package for about £75pm which is ok but you’d be better off signing up to a local gym til you get the momentum going and then once the commitment and routine is there join DL. Honestly for me as a mother it’s a waste of £75 a month as I probably get there 3/4 times a month and spend more on coffee but it’s cheaper to keep it and go once in a while then pay the early exit fees and find elsewhere 🤣
