Runners!

I would love to know when you stopped running during pregnancy and when you started again post birth?

I stopped at 7 months, I could really feel the bounce so stopped! I restarted from 12 weeks with 1k. I only do/did max 5k and not very fit!

I’m currently 32w+3 and still running a 5k once a week with weight lighting on other days😊 thinking about stopping next week tho, as I’m feeling a lot of pressure atm😅 with my first pregnancy I wasn’t active at all throughout, but started running (post C-section) around 5 months pp, just because I was nervous 😅 hoping for a natural birth this time to get back into running properly not too long after!

I'm 31+2 currently & have set myself a goal to do 1-2 5k runs per week. Last week I did 3 and the week before I did 4 x

I stopped 2nd trimester as just didn’t have the energy, re-started 2 months pp. Reckon I could have started even sooner but wanted to wait a bit longer just in case. I was swimming from 1 month pp to rebuild some fitness before tackling running

I stopped at 32 weeks and then started back 6 weeks postpartum not at the level of fitness I once was but feels good to be back aiming for 2 runs a week this week only been doing one a week and I am hitting 12 weeks postpartum Monday

I stopped at 36 weeks! Only because I had to use bathroom so often.

With both my first and second pregnancies I ran 5k a couple of times a week until 37 weeks. Carried on walking them until I gave birth. I started up again at 6 weeks starting slowly and building it up. Now at 7 months pp and starting to get pbs again :)

I stopped at 32 weeks..I'm 6 weeks PP now and have started jogging. Will do a run after I've got GP sign off

Hi I’ve been running for a number of years,I stopped at 38 weeks as uncomfortable for me and started again two weeks after the birth of my daughter. It differs for everyone i worked to my final week and had no complications. Everyone is different I planned what I wanted and went to work after 13 weeks it’s different for everyone.

I stopped in my pregnancy at 22 weeks as had pelvic pain, I was advised to wait till 12 weeks pp to run again, the day I was 12 weeks pp I went running at it felt great. Pace improved so fast and I’m now back to my old pacing and upping the distance at 19 weeks pp

I’m doing the park run 5k weekly, currently 25 weeks, taking it easy 34/35 mins. Hoping to carry on and will just have more walk breaks, but doing Pilates and swimming alongside so will drop running it if feels uncomfortable and carry on with those.

Around 20 weeks. I would have carried on but I had a bleed twice (unrelated) and they said maybe best to avoid it and having sex

Stopped around 32wks and started 10wks postpartum. Had a C section

I stopped running at 12 weeks due to PGP. Was gutted to have to stop but still carried out doing lots of dog walking with the dog everyday to keep some sort of fitness. Currently 38 weeks and hoping to get back to running asap depending on how birth goes!

I stopped running at 5.5months due to pelvic pain. I started doing the occasional 5k around 12weeks following a mummy MOT and sign off. Haven’t been able to be consistent but last week bought a running pram as my LO is now 7.5months so I have my freedom again

I stopped very early (2nd month) as it just suddenly stopped feeling right so it is very individual. I cannot wait to get back to it !
