Postpartum vitamin recommendations

Hiya guys, I had my little girl almost a month ago and basically just feel the impact of the last 10 months on my body and mind. I just wanna feel a little bit more like myself again, and a little bit more energised. Of course I know that that will come with time, but I was just wondering if anyone is taking any good vitamins or supplements that they feel have helped them with the process or benefited them in a positive way đź’“

I used berocca! Xxx

Heya I was really weak after I had my daughter so I just bought the wellwoman multivitamin to cover all bases :) worth noting though, if your not deficient in a vitamin they don’t actually do anything. If your eating healthy balanced diet & drinking water I’d say there’s no need x

For the first few months ppl, I took a post partum multivitamin, I think it was the Holland & Barratt own brand, it happened to be on offer and I compared the packets, they all had basically the same amounts in. I was recommended to take iron supplements during pregnancy then after birth, I kept taking them, I think it really helped (I use Spatone, the apple flavour with added vit C). I breastfed and I’d get dizzy/nauseous when expressing if I forgot to take my iron that day!

I’m on Pregnacare for breastfeeding (though I do believe they just have general postpartum versions as well) and also take collagen capsules and iron (Floradix, as it’s already mixed with vitamin C and is the one type that doesn’t make me feel nauseous). Also tonnes and tonnes of water. Not sure if this is what’s doing it, but I’ve felt like my regular self after 2 weeks of giving birth.

My doctor suggested I continue to take my prenatal so I was taking Ritual which I was really happy with so I just switched to their postnatal vitamin!

Dandelion tea, light bodyweight only workouts, beef liver or organs, lots of eggs and protein during the day
