Getting out of the house

Anybody else still finding it hard to get out the house? I’m usually just indoors as my baby cries all the time and is very unsettled to the point that we still haven’t managed to play with toys much as she’s often just so unhappy. It’s just easier staying at home. Anyone else still in the same boat? Please say it’s not just me!

I honestly would find it harder to stay in the house all day, we need to be out and about but that’s just me 😊

I honestly find they cry less in public as there is that much to look at! Try and build it up slowly- on fussy days when I am nervous I just go for a walk locally and if she falls asleep I can nip in for a coffee or to the shop but if she is still grumpy we can just walk home and at least I got out

I find it’s so difficult to actually leave the house but we go out everyday without fail and my LB really enjoys looking at different surroundings- he’s happy outside, even if it’s just a walk to the park and back home. I would definitely recommend trying to go out it’ll probably feel like a bit of relief for yourself too, it’s my opinion but I feel like they need to adapt to our lives instead of us changing everything to accommodate them. Hope it gets easier for you 🤍

I do find it hard to go out due to the short wake windows! It gets easier as they stay awake longer i find and what unsettles them becomes less and less… this is my second baby too! Great if you can get out but baby is very happy at home with you. Try if you can but youre doing great anyway xx

I know it's really difficult but you may actually find your baby is better if you get out of the house. My daughter sleeps so much better if we've been out and she's had some fresh air or even just the change of scenery Try packing your change bag and the pram into the car the night before and as soon as baby is either ready for a nap or is in a good mood, get in the car and go out Or just straight into the pram if you don't have to drive

Hey, some days are harder than others to get out but I feel myself going a bit crazy if I stay indoors all day. Could you maybe just try taking baby for a walk now that the weather is better? They usually like looking around and it could give you a few mins of peace x

I agree with @CeeCee. I actually find LO calmer outside the house as he’s got lots to look
