Anyone else's 2 year old refusing to go to bed at night🙋‍♀️

Just wanted to see who else was going through this and how you handled it. We have started cutting out the day nap where we can just so that LO is exhausted at night and will go to bed at a reasonable hour and not 10pm like he's been doing. Would love to hear your stories.

My little girl is also dropping her day nap, she'll have it some days (usually at childcare) but it's impossible most days if we're at home. She doesn't fight going into the bedroom, because she has a lot of separation anxiety, so if I say "Mummy's going to bed" she'll come with me, will happily lie in bed with me, but will take a while to settle down and go to sleep. For the last 4-5 months I've also just asked her if she's tired and wants to go to bed. She normally answers appropriately, she'll say no if she's not tired enough and yes if she is. Bedtime is around 8.30

@Estelle I have noticed that my boy is tired and more ready for bed around 8.30 lately instead of 7.30 like it has been. I might need to adjust the night routine so we aim for 8.30 lay down.

Yes, I think a later bedtime at this age is very common, and have read that once they drop their nap it goes back to being a bit earlier
